Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what information is collected when you use ProblemCracker, how it is used and the choices you have.

The values you enter into calculators

The numbers, dates and text you type into our calculators are processed only in your browser. They are not sent to our servers and are not stored. When you use the Share button, your inputs are added to the link it creates; you decide whom to share that link with.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may briefly process technical information to keep the site secure and available, such as:

IP address,
browser and device type,
the page requested and the time of the request.

This information is not used to identify you. Visit statistics (which pages are visited and for how long) are collected with Google Analytics only if you consent (see below).

Cookies and consent

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. On your first visit, a banner asks for your consent to optional cookies:

If you choose Accept, Google Analytics loads and uses cookies to measure visits. When advertising is enabled, Google AdSense also loads only with this consent.
If you choose Decline, these services are never loaded, no optional cookies are set and every calculator still works.

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is remembered for 12 months.

Two small non-cookie settings are stored in your browser so the site works as you expect: your color theme (light or dark) and your language and cookie choices. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.

Google Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand how the site is used: pages visited, time on page, approximate location (country or city), and device and browser type. We use this information only in aggregate to improve the calculators. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

ProblemCracker may show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads load only after you consent. With your consent, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can learn more about Google’s advertising cookies and turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings.

Personal information

You can use every calculator without an account, and we do not ask for personal information. If you email us, we use what you send only to reply to you and do not share it with third parties.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw cookie consent at any time, block cookies in your browser settings or use your browser’s private mode. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us.

Children

ProblemCracker is a general-audience website and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page with a new update date.
