About ProblemCracker

ProblemCracker is a free collection of online calculators for everyday questions about health, money, dates and units. Each calculator gives an instant answer and explains how that answer was reached, so you can check the math yourself.

Who we are

ProblemCracker is an independent project built and published by Inception Medya. The site started in Turkish and is now expanding into English, with calculators adapted to U.S. units and rules. Questions and corrections are welcome through our contact page.

Why we built it

There is no shortage of calculators online. Many of them, though, hand you a single number without showing how it was calculated, bury the tool under pop-ups, or quietly use rules that do not apply to you. We follow three principles:

  • Show the method, not just the answer. Every calculator page explains the formula, works through real examples and tells you how to read the result.
  • Use the right rules and units. English calculators default to U.S. units (feet, inches, pounds, °F) and offer metric where it makes sense.
  • Keep it fast and simple. No sign-up, no app to install. Every calculator works on a phone as well as on a desktop.

How we check our calculations

  1. Formulas come from reliable sources. Health calculators follow the CDC, the World Health Organization and peer-reviewed research. Finance calculators follow standard formulas and official rates. Sources are listed on each page.
  2. Every calculator is tested automatically. Each tool has example scenarios with known answers. They run every time the site changes, and any difference stops the change from going live.
  3. Examples in the text match the calculator. The worked examples you read on a page are produced with the same calculator you use.
  4. We keep pages up to date. Each page shows the date it was last reviewed.
